Young Engineers: Bricks Challenge - $180 +HST
Dates: Wednesdays, beginning February 7th (6 weeks), 5:15 - 6:30 pm
Using stories and simple demonstrations to spark imagination and critical thinking, Bricks Challenge is Young Engineers’ most popular enrichment program. With the use of LEGO® building blocks in conjunction with other tools and mechanical parts, our specially trained educators inspire youth participants while teaching theoretical and applied principles of science, technology, mechanical engineering and math (STEM). Young Engineers: Build Up! - $180 +HST
Dates: Wednesdays, beginning February 7th (6 weeks), 6:30 - 7:30 pm
This program is specifically designed for those children identified with special needs and/or on the autism spectrum. The ratio of 1:3 allows children to find success through the challenges presented. The program will expose the children to the concept of creative leisure, placing an emphasis on planning and execution skills, flexibility and social interaction with their peers. The children will learn how to build models in stages and increasing levels of difficulty. Early Reading Skills Part 1 - $175 + HST
Grades: SK - Grade 2
Dates: Mondays, starting Jan. 22 (8 weeks), 4:30 - 5:30 pm,
Tuesdays, starting Jan. 23 (8 weeks), 4:30-5:30 pm,
Thursdays, starting Jan. 25 (8 weeks), 4:30 - 5:30 pm,
Saturdays, starting Jan. 27 (8 weeks), 10 - 11 am
Have your child join us for this 8 week session to build the essential, foundational skills needed to become a confident and successful reader. Sessions will be filled with activities, games, and reading practice to increase your child's fluency.
Early Reading Skills Part 2 - $175 + HST
Grades: 2 - 3
Dates: Mondays, starting Jan. 22 (8 weeks), 5:30 - 6:30 pm
This 8-week course is designed to follow our Early Reading Skills Part 1. Students will continue to build upon the foundational skills needed to become a fluent and successful reader. Emphasis will be placed on reading passages which increase in
length and a variety of comprehension skills.
Wizardry of Writing - $160 + HST
Dates: Thursdays, starting Jan. 25 (6 weeks), 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm
Students in grades 3+ are invited to join us for this 6-week session that will take their writing from simple to spectacular. Over the six weeks, students will work through a variety of engaging activities and practices to improve their writing abilities. Topics include: generating ideas, organizing your thinking, crafting great sentences/paragraphs and spicing up your writing.
Early Math Foundations - $175 + HST
Dates: Thursdays, starting Jan. 25 (8 weeks), 5:45 - 6:45 pm
Early Math Foundations focuses on the basic numeracy skills and strategies needed to become proficient in math. Sessions will be filled with engaging activities, games, and guided practice to increase your child's level of speed, accuracy and confidence.
Masters of Multiplication - $160 + HST
Dates: Tuesdays, starting Jan. 23 (6 weeks), 5:45 - 6:45 pm
Join us for an 6 week session to master the multiplication facts up to the ten times tables. Classes are filled with
fun and engaging ways to commit the facts to memory.
Kindergarten Basics - $175 + HST
Dates: Saturdays, starting Jan. 27 (8 weeks), 9 - 9:45 am
We welcome JK & SK students to our classroom for this 8 week session. Classes are spent developing early literacy (e.g.,
letter recognition, letter sounds, early sight words, handwriting, etc.), and numeracy skills (e.g., number recognition,
counting, simple operations, patterning, number composition, etc.) in a fun, engaging, and meaningful way.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
To guarantee a spot in your program of choice, full payment must be received at the time of registration. Payment is non-refundable at anytime. A $25 (+HST) Administration Fee will be applied for any transfer or credit request following the date of registration. 30 days prior to the commencement of the term, there are no transfers or class credits issued. Class credits will not be issued due to illness or student scheduling conflicts.
